Biography

Thanks to her grandfather’s passion for horses, Paola Amilibia Puig began horseback riding at an early age, becoming a Spanish Young Rider Champion in 2005 and 2006. She was also a finalist in the 2007 European Championships in Mannheim. Overall, her most memorable career moment is winning the President’s Cup in Madrid in 2006.

Federico Fernandez is the most influential person in Paola’s career because he taught her how to enjoy the sport. Her advice to other riders is to ‘enjoy every jump your horse gives you’. Cabri d’Elle, Urico and Donatella are among the finest horses in Paola’s career and she considers the Global Champions Tour to be ‘the future of show jumping.’
