Aniek Poels is a Dutch international show jumping rider who competes for the Netherlands on the FEI circuit. She has built a solid career in international competition with more than 1,700 starts, establishing herself as a consistent and experienced competitor at top‑level events.
Aniek comes from a family deeply involved in the sport, her father, Ger Poels, is a respected riding coach and her sisters have also competed. She has represented her country in Nations Cup and international classes, achieving strong results. She has been selected for major events by Dutch team coaches and regularly rides throughout Europe, demonstrating steady performances against strong fields.
In 2020 she and her partner Ken Ruysen took over the family equestrian facility in Swolgen, Netherlands, rebranding it as Aniek Poels Horses and expanding their training and competition operations while continuing to pursue success on the international show jumping circuit.
