Hernández Ortega José Alfredo

José discovered his passion for horse riding at a young age. He began riding when he was just ten years old, quickly developing a deep love for show jumping. However, at the age of eighteen, he decided to step away from the sport to focus on his education and pursue a career in business. Despite this break, his passion never faded, and at twenty-eight, he returned to riding with renewed dedication.

Born in Mexico, José later chose to broaden his horizons by settling in Aachen, Germany, placing himself closer to the highest levels of the sport. From there, he began building his international career. In 2006, he made his debut on the global stage at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, representing El Salvador.

Over the following years, José continued to compete at major international events. In 2007, he participated in the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro. He returned to the World Equestrian Games in 2010 in Lexington, Kentucky, once again representing El Salvador. In 2011, he competed in the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, where he finished 44th individually.
