Biography

Kent Farrington is an American international show jumping rider who began riding at the age of eight. He progressed quickly through junior competition, winning major equitation medals and the 1999 North American Young Riders International Competition at the age of 18.

Kent Farrington is an American international show jumping rider who began riding at the age of eight. He progressed quickly through junior competition, winning major equitation medals and the 1999 North American Young Riders International Competition at the age of 18.

Turning professional in 1999, Kent quickly established himself on the international circuit, earning over $1 million in prize money in his first three years and receiving the Maxine Beard Award for his potential to represent the United States globally. Over his career, he has achieved numerous Grand Prix victories and major championship medals, including team gold at the 2011 Pan American Games and team bronze at the 2014 World Equestrian Games.

Kent is also a regular competitor in the Longines Global Champions Tour, with notable wins. Across his career, he has recorded over 2,600 FEI starts and nearly 300 wins, underscoring his experience and consistency at the highest level.

He continues to compete internationally, combining experience, skill, and determination to maintain his position among the world’s elite riders.
