Gerco Schröder is a Dutch show jumping rider recognized for his consistency, skill, and success on the international stage. He began riding after some encouragement from his family, quickly discovering a passion for the sport when he placed third at his first riding club championships. Growing up in a supportive equestrian environment, his parents played a key role in shaping his career.
Gerco has achieved multiple major international successes, including team gold at the 2006 European Championships in Aachen, team gold at the 2014 World Equestrian Games, and individual and team silver at the 2012 London Olympics with Glock’s London. He has also won prestigious Longines Global Champions Tour events, including the Cannes Grand Prix and Vienna Grand Prix.
Known for his motto, “stay motivated, and always keep trying”, Gerco combines experience, technical skill, and a strong competitive mindset, remaining a leading figure in international show jumping while continuing to develop horses for the sport’s highest levels.
