Born in London, Alexandra Thornton is an international show jumping rider representing Great Britain. She moved to the United States at the age of 11, where she developed her career on the competitive Florida circuit, later gaining further experience competing across Europe during her time in France.
Alexandra first rose to prominence in 2010 when, at just 17, she became the first junior rider to win the CSI2* Grand Prix of Le Vaudreuil. She began representing Great Britain in 2011 and soon stepped into senior Nations Cup competition.
Since then, Alexandra has built a strong international career, with 800+ FEI starts and multiple wins, competing consistently in CSI2* and CSI3* Grand Prix classes across Europe and the U.S. She has partnered with horses such as Blueberry, Classic Dream, and Shades Of Blue, producing consistent performances at 1.40m–1.45m level.
Today, she continues to compete internationally, focusing on developing top horses and delivering consistent results on the global stage.
