In what was a dramatic showdown between four nations, Australia, Japan, New Zealand and China, the two available spots for Group G for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games were secured by team Australia and Team Japan.
Represented by Edwina Tops-Alexander, Chris Burton, Lauren Balcomb and Hillary Scott, Australia ultimately finished in pole position on a total of 23 penalties over the two rounds.
Second placed team, Japan, was represented by Eiken Sato, Yuko Itakura, Mike Kawai and Tazio Sugitani, who followed on a total of 32 penalties.
It wasn't to be for team New Zealand or China, who finished on a total of 46 and 59 penalties respectively.
