Grand Prix Sunday brought the Summer Classic at Longines Tops International Arena to a spectacular conclusion, as the first Grand Prix winners of the 2026 outdoor season were crowned in front of an enthusiastic crowd in Valkenswaard. After three days of exceptional competition, Sunday's programme delivered everything fans had been waiting for: thrilling jump-offs, world-class performances and unforgettable moments on the iconic grass arena.
The action began with the CSI1* 1.35m Grand Prix, where Mexico's Xaviera Maurer Bauch and Chactensky PS produced a superb performance to claim victory. South Africa's Oliver Lazarus followed closely behind aboard Jansen, while American rider Meg O'Mara completed the podium with Nevado de Toluca.

The spotlight then turned to the sport's future during the CSI Young Horse Final for 6 and 7-year-olds. Norway's Victoria Gulliksen guided Master of Paradise 3 to victory after an outstanding jump-off, ahead of France's Olivier Perreau with Jolicoeur des Joanins and Dutch rider Sanne Thijssen aboard G-Force van 't Freestveld Z. The final showcased the exceptional quality of tomorrow's international stars, with a field full of talented young horses demonstrating the ability, scope and carefulness needed for the highest level of the sport.

Another highlight of the afternoon was the CSI2* 1.45m Grand Prix, where Belgium's Zoe Hank Conter partnered Loui LN to a brilliant victory. Luxembourg's Victor Bettendorf continued his consistent weekend by finishing second with Qwando van de Rispen, while Dutch Olympian Harrie Smolders secured third place aboard For Chacco TN.

The weekend concluded in spectacular fashion with the prestigious CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix. In a thrilling jump-off, Brazil's legendary Rodrigo Pessoa and Major Tom proved untouchable, crossing the finish line an impressive 1.5 seconds faster than the rest of the field to secure a commanding victory. Mexico's Andrés Azcárraga and Contendros 2 claimed second place, while Germany's Daniel Deusser completed the podium aboard Pepita van 't Meulenhof BR.

Away from the international competition, the atmosphere around Longines Tops International Arena remained vibrant throughout the day. Families and spectators enjoyed the hospitality, entertainment and sunshine, while the popular show class once again gave young riders the opportunity to shine. Competing proudly with their ponies in front of the crowd, the next generation of equestrian talent demonstrated confidence, determination and passion for the sport, earning enthusiastic applause and reminding everyone that the future of show jumping is in good hands.
